Madison Mercer
Madison Mercer is an apprentice automotive mechanic who has found her calling in the trades after working a job in retail. Having first been introduced to construction work as a laborer over a decade ago, Madison knew that the trades were where she wanted to be, but put her dreams on hold while starting a family. However, after some time, Madison decided to pursue her passion and enrolled in a training program with Women Building Futures.
As an apprentice, Madison has thrived on the challenges of learning a new trade and solving complex problems for her team. She finds it fulfilling to work with her hands and see the results of her hard work, especially when she is able to fix something that people rely on every day. Madison's supervisor, Brad Liebrecht, has noted that one of her best qualities is her ability to tackle any task with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Madison is proud to have become an apprentice and continues to focus on learning as much as she can every day. She finds the industry to be rewarding, and enjoys being a part of a supportive community of tradespeople who encourage and inspire one another. Madison looks up to her friend Kaitlin, who is also an apprentice, and admires her dedication and hard work. Madison's experience in the trades has been an experience of a lifetime, and she looks forward to seeing what the future has in store for her.
